E. F. Moon Construction Ltd. was founded in 1962 by E. F. (Ted) Moon. He started the company with one truck and  incorporated it in 1974. At the time of incorporation, the company's fleet consisted of 5 machines and
5 employees. 

In 1978, Ted was joined in the company by his brother C. W. (Cal) Moon, P. Eng., G.S.C. Over the next 3 decades the two brothers, along with their employees, expanded the company both in the size of the fleet and the size of the projects that they worked. The fleet today totals over 100 pieces of various equipment types including excavators, loaders, dozers and trucks to name a few. 

In 2005 the first step towards Ted's and Cal's retirement was taken with the addition of Mark Moon and Jack Meseyton as shareholders and future company owners.

On November 30th 2007 the sale of the company was completed. Mark Moon and Jack Meseyton are now the owners of      
E. F. Moon Construction Ltd.
